Proverbs 11

Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.

This means that when the earth ends every material thing that we own will mean nothing, and that only our beliefs in God will save us. It also means that material things may make us happy on earth, but it will mean nothing to us in heaven.

Action steps:
1. I wont spend a lot of money on worthless things.
2. I wont focus on the possetions that I have so much.

Proverbs 10

He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son. (Proverbs 10:5)

This proverbs means that when someone helps another person whenever will be thanked vigerously, but the person who does not do anything and expects others to do it for them or to them will lose something or someone close to them.

Active steps:
1. I will do my chores this weekend without being asked, and
2. if someone needs help I will try my best to do it for them.

Proverbs 9

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)

This means that if you fear the Lord you will understand how powerful he is and with the power of the Holy Spirit will help you understand it.

Action Steps:
1. I will ask more questions in religion class
2. Try and figure out the meaning of the readings at mass more fully
